Q. Are eyelash extensions safe?
A. Yes. I use a formaldehyde free adhesive. All of my products are made in the USA. The lashes are made of synthetic silk. If a client has a sensitivity I do have an alternate hypoallergenic adhesive, although this adhesive is 85% effective compared to the other.
Q. Do eyelash extensions damage your natural lashes?
A. My lash extensions do not damage your natural lashes. Your lashes will always remain healthy when seeing a technician who is properly trained and goes over maintenance and hygiene with you. With proper aftercare and touch ups done every 2-3 weeks, There is no need to "take a break" from the extensions. Although I have many clients who have worn them for 5+ years and still have no damage, everyone's reactions can be different.
Q. How long do lash extensions last?
A. 2-3 weeks. This may vary depending on each client due to different lifestyles, natural lash growth cycles and maintenance. To retain full and clean lashes, they need a touch up every 2 weeks. During this I replace the lashes that have shed and have grown out. Some women are able to push their touch up to 3 weeks depending on care and a slow growth cycle. I recommend you book your touch ups at the end of your appointment.
Q. When can I get them wet after application?
A. Try to avoid getting them wet for 24 hours.
Q. Can I swim with extensions?
A. Yes. As long as you clean and brush them after, go enjoy a beach day and swim!
Q. How long is the process?
A. 1.5-2 hours.
Q. How do I clean them?
A. After care will be explained after your appointment. I recommend an oil free soap and water. (dove, cetaphil, baby shampoo...)
Q. Can I wear mascara or eyeliner?
A. NO! The purpose of the extensions are they eliminate the need for mascara and eyeliner. This will cause harm to the extensions and you may need to get a replacement full set during your next appointment.
Q. What is lamination?
A. Brow lamination breaks down the disulfide bonds in your hair and redirects the hair pattern. Essentially a safe brow "perm". This treatment normally lasts 6-7 weeks.
Q. How long does it take?
A. Lamination takes 45 min - 1 hour. This includes tint and shaping.
Q. If I get multiple services do I get a discount ?
A. I do offer bundle pricing. Contact me for more information.
